The 3-inch flowers of 'Lava Flow' showcase a dynamic palette of yellow-orange petals accented with bright pink veins that radiate from a striking reddish-orange "lava-like" throat. The back of the petals features a bold reddish-orange stripe, adding to the flower's dramatic flair. The blooms are thick, full, and arranged in large, rounded heads, making them a standout in any garden display.
The tree has a compact growth habit, making it a great choice for smaller gardens or container planting. Despite its average growth rate, 'Lava Flow' reliably produces abundant flower clusters throughout the blooming season. Its strong rose fragrance adds another layer of sensory delight, making it as enjoyable to smell as it is to see.
